Customizable Escalator v2
thingiverse
The revised version of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1884080 now boasts a significantly sleeker chassis, composed of multiple components that allow for smoother pulley movement. Before embarking on the printing process, it's essential to test a few chain links in advance to ensure they function as intended. When utilizing multiple links per step, the link with the socket on top can be employed to connect both the horizontal and vertical sections of one step, while the socket-less link can be inserted between them. A crucial consideration is that the pulley must be sufficiently large to accommodate the chain with mounted steps bending around it; printing a test pulley is advisable to verify this. The pulleys featuring the mounted chain are positioned on the axes such that the hole in the chassis aligns with the square hole of one of the pulleys. To guarantee smooth rotation, make sure the pulleys rotate effortlessly. Assembling the chassis and mounting the handle and stands requires 12 pins; inserting these can be challenging, but a careful approach using pliers and a hammer is recommended. The crank can be connected to the handle and then mounted through the hole in the chassis via pins. The accompanying images provide a clear illustration of how the various components interact with one another.
