Customizable Dowel Rack

Customizable Dowel Rack

thingiverse

This is a rack designed to be assembled with wooden dowels -- the kind you can get at any craft store. Almost every attribute of the rack can be customized either by using the Thingiverse customizer, or by making some very simple edits to the variables at the top of the OpenSCAD source. The included STL version is one that I made as a rack for 7" and 10" vinyl records. I strongly recommend that you **MEASURE THE DIAMETER OF YOUR DOWELS**. If you're not sure about what sort of tolerances you need, [this article](https://3dchimera.com/blogs/connecting-the-dots/3d-printing-tolerances-fits) is very helpful. Should not require supports or rafts. Adjust your infill settings according to your use case - 20% is more than sufficient for a record stand. If you need to cap the dowels, see [this thing](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4938804) for the caps I designed to go with this rack. Or wrap them up in duct tape, I'm not a cop, I'm not gonna tell you what to do
