Customizable Double-Hung Window Model
thingiverse
Renders a double-hung window with the specified number of panes in the upper and lower sashes. The main parameters are the opening width and height, the wall opening into which the window will be inserted. The other parameters specify various board and sash dimensions, all sized and placed to allow the window to slide into the opening. The modeling scale and printing scale parameters transform the window to the correct dimensions for printing. The default modeling scale, 87, is for HO scale, 1:87; other common scales are O scale, 48, and N scale: 160. Using a modeling scale implies the dimensions specified in the window paramters are "prototype", that is, 1:1. If you want to use scale dimensions, change modeling scale to 1. The printing scale is for converting the modeled scale to printing dimensions; for most printers this is millimeters. The default 25.4 is the factor to scale decimal inches to millimeters. The upper and lower sashes are staggered in depth by default; that can be modified with the *_offset parameters.
