Customizable Dice Game
thingiverse
This is based on a game I used to play as a kid. To start a game, you scramble the 9 dice by rubbing the disk between your hands. Every player then tries to find 10 words using the letters shown. The first player with 10 words stops the game. Scoring works as follows: You only get points for a word if no other player has written down the same word. One point is awarded per word. Extra points are awarded for long words, with German umlauts counting as two letters. Long words earn extra points like this: five-letter words get an additional point, six-letter words get two extra points, seven-letter words get three extra points, and so on. Multiple rounds are played until one player reaches some maximum number of points, for example 50. Two versions of the disk are supplied. The first version is a print-in-place model: you can print the disk and dice at the same time. The second version is an assembly model: you can print the disk and dice separately and swap out the dice whenever you want. This makes it easy to mix and match different colors. Recommended print settings have been tested with a 0.3 mm layer height.
