Customizable Diamond Coaster

Customizable Diamond Coaster

I'm eager to get some practice in OpenSCAD design with a focus on geometry and pattern creation. A great way to do that is by designing some unique coasters! This visually striking diamond design is based on the number Phi, also known as "the golden ratio," and can be edited in the provided OpenSCAD file. Only two variables need to be adjusted: the size of the diamonds and the width of the lines. The coaster itself measures 10cm in diameter, making it large enough for almost any cup you can place on it. I've included an STL file with diamonds sized at 5mm and lines that are 2mm wide. If you'd like me to create STL files for other sizes, just let me know. However, the OpenSCAD file gives you the flexibility to make those changes yourself by editing two variables, rendering, exporting, slicing, and printing your design. I'm planning to create a few more geometric designs that can be used with this same coaster base, as well as a coaster holder for them soon.
