Containers are absolutely fantastic - I have amassed a sizable collection. Take a look at my container featuring a knurled lid and cylindrical jar. Utilize the Customizer to design a container that perfectly suits your needs, as it is completely parameterized. The User jonaslorander introduced a novel feature to divide the jar into sections. Many thanks to him for providing the code and implementing this amazing addition - I am thoroughly impressed! Be sure to check out my brand-new Lofty Container and EPCOT Spaceship Earth style Container as well! Instructions I have successfully printed containers in PLA without any support material. The smaller ones utilized a layer thickness of 0.2mm, while the 50mm one employed a 0.3mm layer for faster printing - all came out perfectly. Depending on your printer, you might need to utilize brim. Due to OpenSCAD's command-line interface, I have generated and uploaded a container with varying diameters: 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 75mm in five distinct sizes, complete with all lid styles. The parameters used were as follows: wallthickness=2.0 backlash=0.5 With the exception of the 75mm diameter container, where I employed a different set of parameters: wallthickness=2.5 backlash=0.625 Updates: Version 1.8.1 - The exterior quality of both the container and lid has been improved. Version 1.8 - A simple non-knurled lid was added. Version 1.7: This version generates all lid styles at once; code optimized for openscad 2015.03, eliminating timeouts. Version 1.6 - The compartment option was added; I am extremely grateful to user jonaslorander for providing the code and testing it! part: "both" removed new Thickness tab Version 1.5 - A broken left knurled lid has been fixed. Version 1.4 - A new expert setting in Customizer was introduced, allowing solid container object generation; find the updated files here. Version 1.3 - The threads now utilize $fn=100 for smoother appearance. Version 1.2 - Lid optimization for diameters under 20mm; all containers with diameters less than 20mm now have a consistent height of about 6mm, including threads that might not be compatible with older versions. Version 1.1 - Bug fixed: generated files container_bothxxxxx.stl were not printable
