Customizable Container for Sawblades

Customizable Container for Sawblades

thingiverse

I had an abundance of sawblades cluttering my small metal saw's toolbox and decided to design a custom container for them. This innovative storage solution consists of two interlocking parts that allow me to store saw blades up to 15cm in length securely. The dimensions of the container can be easily adjusted by modifying the variables within the SCAD file. By default, the container comes equipped with a label that proudly proclaims "Sawblades." This label is specifically designed for dual-color printing using the Prusaprinter Color Print Tool, which allows me to seamlessly switch between colors as I print. If my printer supports this feature, I can take full advantage of it. However, if I don't want a label or prefer to change the text, I have complete control over it within the SCAD file. For further documentation and customization options, I simply need to refer to the file itself. This design was initially published in my 3D-Printing Github repository for others to access and build upon. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Mk2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: None needed Notes: To ensure successful printing, I need to make sure that my build plate has excellent adhesion properties to prevent the container parts from falling over. If the height of the print proves troublesome, I can try using a raft for added stability. If I want to print the label in color without a dual-extrusion printer, I'll need to print it separately and switch filaments between layers.
