Create your unique molds with ABS plastic, perfect for casting concrete, plaster, paraffin wax, or mud! Mold designs can be customized using Makerbot and the Customizer feature. Follow these steps to create your masterpiece: 1) Prepare the mold by clamping it together tightly and applying a thin layer of non-stick spray (Pam works well). 2) Mix concrete to toothpaste consistency, removing any large rocks if desired. 3) Fill the mold with concrete, using inserts or other objects for added interest. 4) Tap the mold gently to release air bubbles. 5) Allow the concrete to set for at least 6-8 hours before attempting removal. 6) Carefully separate the mold and clean any sharp edges with sandpaper or a file. 7) For optimal results, allow the concrete to cure for several days in a plastic bag, spraying with water if necessary.
