My kids take turns loading the dishwasher and this is recorded on a schedule. They frequently argued that they didn't know it was their turn as they reached into the dishwasher for snacks and left it full of dishes. Now, they have a clear reminder that it's their turn to empty the dishwasher right there on the appliance itself, and I got to learn how to use OpenSCAD. It's definitely a win/win situation, at least for me. This design was based around some 15mm x 3mm magnets that I purchased online. Another size should be easy to swap in if needed.
