Note that this product is baby-resistant but not completely baby-proof; if your child can stand and exert force, they may still access restricted areas with persistence. Additionally, ABS layers could separate or break under excessive weight. Despite these limitations, the latch serves to slow down your baby while keeping hazardous items in kitchens/bathrooms safer. For optimal results, use light sanding.
