Customizable Cell battery charger holder
thingiverse
I created this DIY charger for my cellphone battery because the micro USB port had burned out, so I made it customizable. Unwrap the wires about an inch from the end and only expose what will be in contact with the battery, leaving insulation on the other end. Pass the 22/24 gauge stranded wire through the holes, twist them together at the back, and secure them with heatshrink or tape to prevent coming apart. Remember, "don't try this at home" unless you're an expert, "use it at your own risk," and "this will void your warranty." You've seen those viral videos of lithium batteries catching fire, so be cautious and avoid short-circuiting the battery. Here are some key dimensions for the project: Battery_width=53;// [20:.5:150] Battery_length=71;// [20:1:150] Battery_height=5;// [3:1:15] The distance from the charging pads to the end of the battery is crucial. Set First_wire_distance_from_end=9;// [2:.5:50] and Second_wire_distance_from_end=18;// [2:.5:50]. The Wire_hole_size should be 2; // [1:1:3], while Pad_width should be 2; // [1:.5:3].
