Customizable Catch for Cabinet Latch
thingiverse
Correction notice: I found an error in my algebra for calculating the curve on 5th February, and it has been fixed, ensuring proper functioning within the customizer. This edit concerns a child-resistant magnet operated cabinet latch similar to this one: http://amzn.to/R1aJ7b. I accidentally broke a couple of them while experimenting with unconventional uses, necessitating extra ones without purchasing a whole new kit. Kindly follow the instructions for using the provided file, which is compatible with the specific latch model mentioned above. If you have a different latch model, don't worry! The OpenSCAD file offers full parametric customization. You can specify multiple parameters such as: - Length (40mm), width (11mm), and height (11mm) of the catch base - Base thickness (2mm) and top width (2mm) at the flat portion of the catch - Curve length (19mm) along its long axis, and sag (1.5mm), which is the maximum deviation from a straight line when measuring with a ruler - Hole spacing (32mm) center to center, and hole dimensions: length (9mm) and width (3.75mm) A small adjustment factor (0.1mm) is included to ensure proper overlaps.
