Customizable Car Vent Sunglass Holder v2.0 This is an upgraded version of my initial, adaptable OpenSCAD design. Version 2.0 of the car vent sunglass holder features a ball and socket connector. The device is extremely compact and discreet on your dashboard, yet keeps the sunglasses readily accessible. Check out the original version here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1448661 What sets this item apart is the ability to print both the ball and the socket at once. There is a slight resistance when removing it from the print bed, but a simple twist breaks it free, allowing it to turn smoothly in the socket. Version 2.0 includes wedges added to the ends of the Sunglass holder's "arms." This was suggested by DDD_guy, and I've made the entire design parametric. Print Settings: Printer: Prusa I3 Rework 1.5 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 100 Notes: Printed with ABS since it will be exposed to sunlight through glass and stored in a hot car environment. PLA might also work well.
