Customizable Broom Latch Revised
thingiverse
A remix of the original Customizable Latching Broom Holder by GregFrost. The following changes were made in the design... 1. Added a parameter to allow mount-side wall to be thickened for strength and allow deeper countersink for larger screw heads. 2. Added a parameter to control the distance between mounting holes. In the original design the distance between the holes would vary depending on the broom diameter. This parameter would allow latches of different sizes to be printed while the lateral distance between holes remain the same. I did this to allow different latch sizes to be swapped-out without drilling new holes in the wall. Use OpenSCAD program to customize .scad file. I have included an example of exported .stl file for a 32mm diameter latch with 26mm distance between mounting holes and extra 2mm mount wall thickness. For hinges, I used three 4d finishing nails -- shortened to the height of the latch.
