Customizable Box with Lid
thingiverse
Found an openscad box by acker on thingiverse and decided to update it for use with thingiverse Customizer. Also fixed an error in lid calculations. Use this however you like! Storage solutions for small parts, nuts, bolts, jewelry, rpg figurines, playing cards, or anything else that comes to mind are endless possibilities. The default tolerance worked well for my Hatchbox PLA printer producing a snug friction fit that's easy to put on and take off without falling off. But if your lid is too loose or doesn't fit you may have to adjust this value. If making an extra large box, you'll need to customize the lid and box separately so they can be printed one at a time; use the same parameters for both when you do, or they obviously won't match up properly. Keep in mind that using Customizer, unreasonable values will result in absurd outcomes, so don't set walls 100mm thick or anything equally extreme! May 4th 2015 UPDATE I've added sliding lids and coin slots as options. While the sliding lid is untested by me yet, it should function fine; you may need to increase tolerance to 0.15 however
