Customizable Bolted Rod Clamp

This is a highly adjustable bolted clamp designed specifically for use with an optics mounting post. At times you require holding something significantly heavier in place, or simply relocating it out of the way, without hesitation to scratch the rod/post. The standard STL file is tailored for an 8mm post equipped with M3 bolts and nuts. This component was heavily influenced by the Open-source optics project, whose primary goal is to drastically minimize the cost of scientific optical hardware, by the Michigan Tech's Open Sustainability Technology Research Group. Custom Section OpenSCAD code has been included for any desired modifications. Simply print on your preferred 3D printer and clean up thoroughly. For enhanced stability and strength, this part may necessitate 25% or more infill. I have not needed supports when printing with PLA or ABS.
