Customizable Bike Light Mount
thingiverse
This design was created to securely attach a rear bicycle light to the back of my bike. The OEM mount I had was intended for a seat stem, but it would be obstructed by my substantial rear rack and make recharging a hassle. So, I designed this.\nThe design allows the light to slide vertically into a slot with gentle pressure. The mount features recesses for adjustable-width zip ties that can be used to attach the mount to the back of the rack (or any other flat surface). \nA provided STL file was successfully used for my LE Rechargeable USB Rear Tail Light (available on Amazon at https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0197X16BC/), but this design should also be adaptable to various slide-lock cycling couplers.\nTo add your feature requests, please leave a comment. \nPrint Settings\nRafts: No\nSupports: No\nResolution: Fast or Low settings are acceptable\nInfill: A 15% infill worked fine\nNotes: To avoid print errors, print the slide hole on top so that you can print without supports.\nThe ziptie recess at the top fits a standard ziptie snugly, but the bottom recess may require some post-processing with a file or knife to prevent squishing. \nFuture Features\nI plan to add rotation functionality to the slide slot\nI also aim to enable printing on a curve for easier installation around bars\nAdditionally, I will consider incorporating different mounting options such as holes, zip ties, and bolt clamping for bar attachment\nFurthermore, I will include documentation directly within the .scad file
