Customizable Beer Tap Handle
thingiverse
Wil Wheaton's "Make it so" led the internet to provide a customizable beer tap handle. With the Customizer App, you can personalize the text on the handle, the diameter of the tap attachment, and the overall size of the handle. The design uses OpenSCAD write library from this link: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16193. Improvements have been made for better printability, with inlaid letters and smoothing features. Instructions can be found here: https://github.com/hendricksonrw/savorywatt-thingiverse/tree/master/89111-beer-tap-handle. The full source code is available on GitHub, with plans to integrate it with the customizer app soon. To run this from Thingiverse files, download all necessary files and set up write.scad (refer to the derived thing). Note that for customizer functionality, write.scad must be removed. Lastly, place write.scad in a write folder and keep Letters.dxf with handle.scad.
