Customizable bean stopper for Coffee grinder
thingiverse
Many commercial coffee grinders lack a crucial feature: a stopper to prevent motor damage. This omission not only puts the grinder at risk, but also blocks freshly ground beans from popping up through the funnel. To create a stopper for your coffee grinder, follow these simple steps: First, inspect your grinder's funnel and ensure its opening is rounded in shape. This design supports most funnels and prevents any issues with bean flow. Next, gather a vernier caliper to measure three vital dimensions: 1. The outer diameter of the funnel's opening. 2. The inner diameter of the funnel's opening. 3. The inner diameter of the grinder that connects to the funnel. These measurements will guide your stopper design and ensure a seamless fit. Finally, access the customizer tool and input the measured values. With this information, you'll be ready to print your stopper and enjoy worry-free grinding experiences. This project is open-sourced, available on GitHub at https://github.com/rize0528/grinder_bean_stopper.git. Please note that commercial use of this design is prohibited, although small-scale printing for personal use is allowed.
