Customizable Balls in Cage
thingiverse
This is an update to http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:348861, repositioning the balls for vertical printing with success. The original placed the balls squarely in the middle of available space and spaced them evenly; however, this often led to issues during the printing process because the balls were initiated mid-air. My printer struggled immensely, and it may be worth noting that different printers might experience similar difficulties. To improve upon this initial model, I adjusted the placement of the balls so they are situated at the bottom of the enclosure. Additionally, I eliminated any gap between them, providing a continuous surface for each to begin on. The end result is a print that is far more satisfactory and aesthetically pleasing compared to the original design.
