I'm not thrilled about extinguishing a cigarette in a plastic ashtray made from PLA material either. A metal tin can seems like a much better choice for this task. However, one major drawback of using just a tin can is that it doesn't provide a convenient spot to temporarily park the cigarette while I'm not smoking it. That's why I came up with this solution.
