Customizable -Air Hose Reducer
thingiverse
Having acquired a one-off cyclone from eBay, I had to devise a design to create a reducer that connects with the standard Ridgid/Craftsman shop-vac hoses at the shop floor. FreeCAD 0.16 onwards offers support for incorporating spreadsheet-based variables into part dimensions for the required ultimate dimensions. Attached is the FreeCAD project with an embedded spreadsheet (named config) featuring the following parameters: - Param_small_radius: enter a value in inches, which gets automatically saved as millimeters - Param_large_radius: enter a value in inches, which gets automatically saved as millimeters - Param_overlap_len: defaulted to 15 mm - Param_wall_thickness: defaulted to 2 mm - Param_taper_angle: the taper angle for the loft Feel free to customize these values according to your requirements and enjoy!
