Another implementation of letter-on-spikes comes with several unique features: excellent customizability and stronger joints that utilize my joints library found on thingiverse http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1764043. The peg points are also symmetrical, allowing for smooth ground penetration action. However, finding a visually appealing font available on thingiverse remains a challenge. I've selected three Google fonts - "Lobster", "Pacifico", and "Chewy" - as alternatives. My preferred font is http://www.dafont.com/chinacat.font, the regular typeface, which can be adjusted to make letters touch without merging into each other too much, striking a balance between mechanical stability and readability. This font also provides a more approachable look compared to edgier options. Another font I appreciate for this purpose is http://www.dafont.com/fennario.font, particularly when capital G's are involved - the chinacat font can easily be mistaken for C, as seen in this example: http://www.dafont.com/chinacat.font?text=Gurken&psize=l. Fennario's capital G has a much more distinct horizontal stroke, as shown here: http://www.dafont.com/fennario.font?text=Gurken&psize=l. I'd appreciate any suggestions on which fonts you recommend for this item, so I can explore them further.
