Customisable spool arm for Wanhao i3 Duplicator
thingiverse
The stock spool arm on my i3 isn't long enough to hold a lot of spools, so this replacement should fix that issue right away. If you want a different size from mine, it can be customized with ease. My printer is also re-badged as the Aldi Cocoon Create, Maker Select, and Malyan M150 i3 3D. Update (2016-07-04): I've added an STL for the NoSupport version of my design. This means you can print it without any support material at all. Update (2016-07-11): I modified the SCAD file to allow generation of the NoSupport version, making it even more versatile. Update (2017-06-06): I applied a fix to the SCAD provided by cmh, so thanks for that! Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao i3 Duplicator Rafts: No Supports: Yes Notes: For best results, print it with the thread at the top. This will prevent any issues with the supports getting in the way. I highly recommend printing it in ABS as PLA is too fragile and may break easily. How I Designed This OpenSCAD
