Customisable Prusa I3 X Axis Part Geeetech Based
thingiverse
Here's a Customizable X Axis Part Based on Geeetech Parts That Can Work with Multiple LM8UUs: My new, totally adjustable x axis part is modeled after the amazing parts offered by Geeetech. One reason their components stand out is that they include holes for adjusting z endstop screws and mounting the x endstop - but there's a problem: they're only compatible with Geeetech's custom LM8UUs, which are 45mm in length and can only be bought from them directly. This wouldn't have been an issue if I had LM8UUs of their specific length and type, especially when working on repairing broken parts. To overcome this challenge, the scad file allows you to change its parameters to fit your existing hardware or create new designs that work seamlessly with 25mm LM8UUs like mine. With these adjustments, you'll be able to repair or create new parts using what you already have. In my design, I added a hole on the x motor part so that you can either use an m2.5 screw or even secure it in place using just a tiny ziptie (you might want to hunt for the smallest one you can find). If you want to start creating your own customizable x axis parts, all you need to do is download and unzip the file into the same folder because that's where the scad file relies on import() function. Please do take a moment to leave me a comment with any feedback or suggestions you might have - I'd be more than happy to hear from you. Parameters explanation - True if using a standard nut as in the original Geeetech part - False: For parts that already come with their fixed-size stock flange nuts and for which you do not need adjustable dimensions
