Customisable Ormerod Duet enclosure
thingiverse
Customize your own Duet electronics enclosure for the reprap Ormerod printer! This enclosure offers various customizations, such as adjusting overall depth, adding extra mounts for better positioning, and separating the PC board from the main mounts to simplify enclosure mounting. The base can be solid or hollow using the original acrylic plate. Additionally, you can choose to have a cutout or filling in the wall near cables, add ventilation holes, and include an aux 5v connector. Extra features include optional reset/erase pins with guides for easy button access without removing the cover. To customize the enclosure, simply edit the OpenSCAD file and export a new STL. Note that the DuetEncMeasure SCAD is included for measurement purposes but is not required. Also, this enclosure may not be a direct replacement if using acrylic for the front and back due to separate PCB mounts. Follow the instructions for sawing off tabs, trimming the acrylic bottom, screwing in the PCB, adding T nuts with spacers, and installing optional reset pins and guides, if desired.
