customisable - Bookbinding awl insert - 20mm spacing default - openscad

This device fits snugly inside an 8.5-inch cradle. Designed specifically for A4 paper folded into a compact A5 format, it boasts precision spacing for an awl positioned every 20mm with a border of 15mm at each end. Currently, I'm utilizing this device to cut 5mm off the top and bottom edges, resulting in holes that are precisely 10mm from the top and bottom of the page. However, it will function seamlessly without trimming. Notably, I've labeled this as a remix so users can easily locate it, but in reality, I created it from scratch based on precise measurements of the cradle. To facilitate customization, I've included the openscad file, which features four variables that need to be adjusted: - first_edge_offset: specifies the gap from the first edge - spacing: determines the gap between the remaining holes - stoplen: defines when to cease - A5's long side measures 210mm - awldia: allows you to adjust the size of the awl, whether larger or smaller If you're unable to modify it, please let me know what adjustments you require and I'll be happy to create a customized version for you.
