Customisable Block Mount
thingiverse
You should be able to wall mount any shallow block shaped object using this customisable design. Should be good for tablets, mini PCs, thermostats, remote controls, or as in my case as pictured, my USB charger block. The top is open for whatever blocky object to slide down into. The bottom is also open but with a shelf, the depth of which can be customised all the way to non-existence or totally solid as need be, to hold your "block".The front is also left open to the depth of your shelf, allowing visibility of whatever block is being mounted and some heat dissipation if required. Two screw holes are present. You can choose the thickness of the screw and also the diameter and depth of a counter sink for the screw head. The corners are rounded, you can customise the radius if desired. You can also customise the thickness of the walls.Otherwise, the basic usage is just set the length, width and height you wish to contain within the mount.I printed with PLA using 20% infill using eSun PLA+ and a 0.3mm layer height for speedy printing but the design is simple enough that no special print requirements should be needed.Assuming you've got even basic bridging settings for the screw holes, there really shouldn't be any need for any supports.Made in OpenScad, it's free to download and use and a small file size, so just get it downloaded if you don't have it already.Supposedly "Customizer" will allow you to get it all customised on Thingiverse, but I've never been able to get that to work.
