Customisable Badge Holder V2
thingiverse
Customize this badge with Inkscape!\nI've updated V2 to better structure the holes at the top - something that proved lacking in the original design, which held up reasonably well for a while.\nTo personalize:\nOutline your desired shape by drawing it freehand.\nOnce satisfied, select the entire backplate, followed by the designated cut-out section and employ the 'Difference' option (located under Path | Difference).\nFollowing this procedure will yield two options: Flatten Bézier curves using Extensions | Modify Path | Flatten Béziers or utilize a more efficient "DXF export" extension discoverable through simple internet search.\nThe OpenSCAD script efficiently carves out each shape on its respective layer.\nHowever, due to incompatibilities with Inkscape/OpenSCAD regarding positioning shapes from DXFs, some elements might be slightly misplaced - apologies are forthcoming, yet resolving the issue currently eludes me.\nIt successfully operates across a multitude of card types I tested it with and, hopefully, you will experience similar results!
