LITTLE WARNING : longer travel suspension can be a recipe for throwing tracks unless you have a proper sprung tensioner or use individual tracks with ample weight WITH proper track tension Current ( February 2021) custom suspension for my Warthog RC conversion in progress. Unlike previous stations: - this is a universal, individual station for a single roadwheel -it is universal for most tracked vehicle within Joe size. Can use it on a custom lynx, mobat, warthog, mauler, etc.. just make the appropriate roadwheel spacing and desired size OR adjust your drive wheels and idlers. -It is directional. You need to mirror the holder and swingarm for opposite side. -it is intended to be screwed onto the hull side of the vehicle -It is currently meant to use Mauler roadwheels or variants -The swing has two mounting points, enabling you to tune the stiffness/plushness without swapping springs. typically, first and last station need to be stiffer when using tight rubber tracks. Spring closer to wheel axle= stiffer. Spring closer to swingarm pivot=plusher -Still using 1/16" acetal pivot and 0:80 screws like previous designs. See my other files for details. I have yet not needed to use metal pivot. you can if you want. -Road wheels and spindle ends are interchangeable. Individual files available on my other designs. -This holder has an added lower front mounting point. I have not found it necessary to use. Hence why there is no pin shown in it. It is optional, if your vehicle is heavy and you see the holder flexing, you can secure it using that mount. -The angle of your station can be critical. Play around using just 2 temporary smaller screws before securing all 4 permanent positions. Too steep of an angle and the suspension will lock-up in reverse rather than complying.
