For this project, I chose a beach scene, as our assignment was to create a diorama with a minimum of four props and include at least one base platform/ground section. To create a beach scene that looked welcoming, I wanted to include a mix of elements. The print on the sign noting that the beach is closed was actually more of an afterthought for me. My props consist of a volleyball net, a wooden sign, an Italian ice/ice cream cart, a bucket with water spilling from it, and a beach chair. Both a ground section and a 'background' section are included in my diorama. I believe that the style is consistent enough to say that it was successful, and I am actually pleased with the textures considering that I switched to a completely different application for texturing this time around. However, if I were to do this again, texturing would be at the top of my list for things I would improve. Modeling more detailed props is also something I would focus on.
