Custom separator for IKEA drawers
thingiverse
I had to tailor my IKEA drawers specifically to fit into a smaller cabinet by reducing their width. This requires that I forgo using standard IKEA separators, so I designed these custom units to meet our exact needs. You may need to adjust the length of the arms to suit your requirements. Print two clips (which will snap into place around the rod) and print the rod in the desired length. Make sure there is a small margin to allow for the clips to fit snugly. The cross arms interlock securely, with A+B fitting together seamlessly, leaving just enough space to adjust the distance as needed. If you prefer more or less space, simply extend or decrease the rod accordingly. Although they could use some improvement in terms of snapping into place, the cross arms currently lie flat on top of the rod and are prone to falling off easily. Printed with a brim to ensure it stays securely in place from now on.
