Custom Motor Cover

This is a custom motor cover designed specifically for the Horizon Hobby ECX Desert Buggy's Castle Link 1410 Sensored Brushless Motor. The original concept was developed by Horizon Hobby, but I've made some significant modifications to ensure the wires from the motor can be soldered and routed with ease. In my opinion, having wires exposed at the bottom of the rc car is not ideal, so I've created a top-opening design that addresses this issue. One thing I need to work out is how to extend the top mounts without adding unnecessary weight or bulk. Alternatively, I could remove some material from the bottom mount to achieve a similar effect. Perhaps the best solution would be to offset the holes on the bottom mount so that the screw heads are flush with the skid plate. UPDATE: 2/7/20 I'm planning a major overhaul of this design to make it easier to edit and update in the future. The current timeline is becoming increasingly complex, and I want to simplify things so I can focus on making improvements rather than searching for specific elements or trying to keep track of how they're connected.
