I designed a moon base using FreeCAD, keeping the initial design surprisingly simple. I considered employing spheres to eliminate the need for supports altogether. To illuminate the structure, I installed a 12-volt dome light featuring white LEDs, secured with hot glue. However, I may be overloading the potentiometer, as guidelines suggest running no more than five LEDs through this component and my dome light has eight. So far, I've noticed no signs of heat emanating from the potentiometer.
