Custom Measuring Spoons

Custom Measuring Spoons

thingiverse

This is a remix of "Parametric Measuring Spoons" by Brian Enigma - the updated SCAD now includes known measures, pre-calculates the scoop radius from the desired volume, and no longer relies on dxf files for the label cut-out, instead using SCAD's text feature. In addition to common measurements like 'tsp', 'tbsp', 'mL', and 'c', I've added 'bMPc' (barn-megaparsec - about 2/3 of a teaspoon) and 'mol' (as in "the volume of 1 mol water" - about 1.4 tablespoons), because the goal of this project was to have an interesting set of measuring spoons. I may work some more on this, to try reducing the need for support on the dome. It's like 90% there, but the scoop's dome sags and ruins the print by the end if you skip supports - unfortunately, though, that gets you a really rough scoop. I also want to add fins to support the scoop and the handle, as everything kinda flexes more than I want at the thickness I like. I'll soon be working on a measuring cup SCAD as well.
