Custom Macropad
thingiverse
Created this custom macropad to allow me to assign certain tasks to a hotkey. The case and keycaps are designed to fit gateron low profile keyboard switches and is made to come apart in halves to replace all components. (uses three 3mm bolts/nuts)This was designed to run using the USB C version of the Arduino Pro Micro running a copy of the code created here: https://www.partsnotincluded.com/diy-stream-deck-mini-macro-keyboard/ (thank you Dave)I decided on soldering 7 of the 8 switches to the arduino pins assigned to F13-F19 and wired the top most switch directly thru the back of my PC to the motherboard as an external PC power button. I also designed this power button to be protected with a flip cover when not in use. If you'd rather wire all 8 switches as extra Fkeys, this case works without the cover as well.I created some custom keycaps to match my purposes, but I've also included standard Fkeys and Blank keys in the model if you need them. All of my designs are unpaid passion projects that I choose to share, and I provide mesh models for free, but if you'd like to support me and my work, donations are greatly appreciated.
