Custom Lulzbot Taz 5 Ramps 1.4 Enclosure
thingiverse
This is a RAMPS 1.4 enclosure built specifically for the Lulzbot Taz 5 3D printer. I designed this custom enclosure when assembling my Taz 5, opting not to purchase the standard RUMBA board included with the printer. Instead, I modified a Ramps board to operate on 24 volts rather than the usual 12 volts and developed custom firmware to suit my needs. The enclosure features cable glands for securing cables exiting the case, along with pre-drilled holes for installing a power switch, panel-mounted USB ports, and an AFC Blade fuse holder. For cooling purposes, it utilizes a single 40mm fan mounted on the lid, which provides positive pressure airflow. You can choose from various fan guards to fit both input and output ventilation ports. The enclosure also includes stand-offs for mounting the Arduino Mega 2650 board and bed relay PCB, which are available for purchase from MakerFarm. To complete your build, you'll need a few additional components: * Threaded inserts for attaching the lid * Cable glands for securing cables * A power switch * An AFC panel mount fuse holder * Panel-mounted USB connectors * A 40mm fan and its mounting screws * Two 40mm fan guards * T-nuts and screws for mounting purposes * Screws for securing PCB boards
