Custom Inserts for LED Push Buttons
thingiverse
After being thoroughly unimpressed with the underwhelming performance of "EG STARTS 5x New 60mm Dome Shaped LED Illuminated Push Buttons For Arcade Coin Machine Operated Games" backlights, I took them apart and printed new inserts with the labels I needed for a custom photobooth setup. The buttons have a smooth action but it's impossible to see the LED through them even when supplied with 12 volts of power. With these thinner inserts, printed in natural PLA material, they light up beautifully when powered by only 3.3 volts from a Raspberry Pi GPIO port.
