Custom HO Lady

Custom HO Lady

Using the base from my TTTE Lady Keychain, I found an old chassis that I had cut off an engine that was melted and warped (white metal, too!!) I hotwired and super glued a motor onto it, forming a direct-drive motor-to-wheel HO Scale chassis. Using the Keychain, I stretched and scaled it a bit, and put a hole in it. I also added a few details that didn't quite come out on the old version, And Lady the Lost Engine is now in HO Scale!! The second file with the (1) is an updated version with the capability to have the added link couplers added (done via an added hole in the back bufferbeam). The Couplers are able to be printed using Filament. Version 3 (Labelled FINAL VERSION) has everything necessary to print a high-quality, fully functioning Lady shell. The rear buffer beam is a separate piece, as is the running board for easier printing/painting. I have also cut up the files into separate pieces for easier repairs / damages if desired. For colors, Lady's main body is #A50055, and her Running Board is #581845. Her lining is gold, as is her smokebox. Her roof is the same color as her running board. To custom order paint for Lady (or future Lady projects) I suggest http:/myperfectcolor.com. It is a bit pricey, but the colors are spot on, and can be gotten in aerosol, acrylic, and more. I made her chassis out of a Mantua 0-4-0 White metal shunter chassis, cut down, and glued a Bachmann Thomas motor at a 4 degree angle, so the gear on the motor contacted and meshed with the drive gear. I then took the wires, and used them spread into brushes directly to her rear wheels. I used some spare rods I had, or you could use the rods from the Mantua (mine was beyond repair, as I got it from a garage sale, no tender, and the body was scrapped.)
