Custom floorboards for motorcycle
thingiverse
I created these custom floorboards six months ago for a motorcycle shop that really liked them. Despite their enthusiasm, they still haven't paid me for the hours I spent on the project. At this point, I'm starting to think these designs are mine again. I only had SketchUp to work with at the time, which made the process very time-consuming. It would have been a lot easier if I'd invested in SolidWorks earlier - that's my only regret. Here's how I designed them: First, I spent way too much time using SketchUp to get everything just right. If you want to cut these out for yourself, you'll need to convert the files into DXF or IGES format. That will allow a machine shop to make them for you.
