*I have actually designed and built several CNC machines but, the 2 pictured I still use daily. The left machine is what these CAD files belong to so I can also upload the files for the right machine as well as it is scaled down slightly and uses NEMA23 servos instead but both utilize ATC spindles with pneumatic 10-Tool ISO30 ER32 tool-racks*The bed faces out to be about 915 x 765mm of usable milling area. The dimensions of the actual acetal bed are 915 x 1137mm. So you lose about 372mm at the back which is sad but unavoidable. I made a custom toolholder rack that is pneumatically operated which slides forward just enough to enable the spindle to pick up the tools and then it retracts back to open up that section of bed to be used for milling. I modeled up the CNC Depot FM30 as there isn't a model available online that I could find. There is however, a model for the S30C if you happen to need one of those. This has been a very solid machine and has worked great for me for well over a year now. I always over-engineer everything so if there is something you don't feel you'd need by all means modify it. I will say though, this machine mills 1 inch cast tooling plate without any issues as well as mild steel and of course plastics without breaking a sweat and surface finish is very good for a hobby/prosumer machine. *MACHINE FOOTPRINT* 1300 x 1320 x 795mm*All Extrusions are 80 x 160mm, 40 x 80mm and 80 x 80mm*All Aluminum plates were machined from 25mm MIC6 Tooling plate and 10mm T6061 plate*I work exclusively in Metric so everything I post and/or work on will be in Metric just an FYI*All sensors I use are Pepperl and Fuchs induction threaded barrel and square type sensors*All of my Linear rail and bearing blocks are NSK NH20EM's (except for the toolrack and Z-axis Linear system which uses HiWin 20mm rail and blocks with scrappers and the latter uses Bosch-Rexroth 15mm guides and rails) and all ballscrews are HiWin 20mm with a 20mm lead and the Z-Axis system uses an Issoku 15mm with 10mm lead*Electronics are MASSO G3 with the 5 axis, WiFi, and touch upgrade, Invertek 2.2kw VFD, Teknic NEMA34 Clearpath Servos with a Teknic 75v PSU, MeanWell 5v, 12v, and 24v PSU's, Custom relay board for air/coolant, toolrack, and toolsetter air blast, DrewTronics Wireless Touch Probe, and LED strip lighting under the 80 x 160mm Gantry beam.
