custom cutaway saber hilt by cworthdynamics
thingiverse
This is a custom cutaway saber hilt I'm proud to show off, created by the talented cworthdynamics. While it's not my own design, I did breathe new life into some remixed files to make them compatible with standard 3D printers. The original files were optimized for SLA printing, so you may need to slow down your printer to tackle the more intricate designs. When printing the hilt, be prepared to rotate some of the parts to achieve optimal results. This will ensure a smooth and even finish. The smaller components require a brim to hold them in place during printing. I used 4x2mm neodymium magnets to secure the halves together, making assembly a breeze. For those interested in learning more about this project, you can find the original files on Pinshape: https://pinshape.com/items/24930-3d-printed-custom-cutaway-saber-hilt. The build log is also available within that link. Additionally, I recommend checking out the YouTube video at https://youtu.be/5uCUBLEqtmw for a step-by-step guide to building this impressive saber hilt. Big thanks go to cworthdynamics for creating such an amazing project – their work is truly inspiring!
