This custom CNC spindle was created with a high-performance RC motor, utilizing 100% infill for added strength. The motor selected for this application is the CopterX CX-M5055-05-KV700, a powerful 700KV outrunner brushless motor specifically designed for RC planes. This motor provides exceptional speed and efficiency. A precision ER11 collet with an 8mm straight shank was chosen to securely hold tools or bits in place, ensuring accurate and precise movements. The bearings used in this spindle are skateboard-style 608 bearings, measuring 8 x 22 x 7mm. These bearings provide smooth motion and minimize vibration. To assemble the motor and spindle, four M4 screws are used, passing through for added stability and security. The spindle is designed to be mounted to a Z-axis using four M5 screws, allowing for precise control and movement.
