Custom Checkers Game
thingiverse
I recently acquired my first 3D printer and decided to create a customized game of checkers as a beginner's project. The board features slots for the checker pieces to rest in and has physical diagonal lines connecting each slot; these lines serve both aesthetic and functional purposes, helping players visualize their options when moving pieces. The checkers pieces have a hole on top where the "crown" can be inserted once a piece becomes king. There are three primary components: (1) The board, (2) Checker Piece, (3) Crown Print and play! Print settings: Printer: Wanhao Duplicator 6 Rafts: Not necessary Supports: None required Resolution: Low setting Infill: 20% density Notes: The board should be printed with its bottom face down on the build plate. The checker pieces should be built standing upright, with their bottoms facing down on the build plate as well. Filaments used: Black esun PLA, White Hatchbox PLA, Orange Hatchbox PLA (1.75 mm)
