This is a high-quality, fully customizable replacement for the standard 2 inch (50mm) office chair wheel with an 8mm pin. The wheels are incredibly sturdy and my prototypes have survived 3 months of rigorous use with people up to 250 pounds in weight. The wheel support system has held up extremely well so far, but I've only had one week to test it. In addition to this project, I'm also working on more fender designs as well as custom wheel covers or hubcaps. Another wheel design is underway, featuring 626ZZ bearings that would enable the use of a smaller axle and M6 Axel bolt for those with plenty of 626ZZ bearings on hand. Be among the first in your area to enjoy these fantastic wheels! Instructions: If you only want to replace the existing wheel, you will need to remove the axle, drill out the old wheel support to accept the new M8 Bolt, then install 2 608Z bearings, an M8 60mm bolt, 4 M8 washers, and an M8 nylock nut (or a standard nut with one drop of blue Threadlock). To complete this project, you will also need: 10 M3 16mm hex socket bolts 10 M3 nuts 10 M3 washers. These wheels print exceptionally well using either ABS or PLA, which I sliced using CURA with the following settings: - Shell thickness: 1.2mm - Top/Bottom thickness: 1.2mm - Infill density: 20%. However, keep in mind that the rear bearing cover is a structural part of the wheel and cannot be left out. It also includes nut traps to ensure a flush mount for the rear of the wheel, avoiding any potential interference with the wheel support structure. If you choose to use acorn nuts instead, the nut traps will allow the socket bolt head to sit smoothly in the rear bearing cover. Important! When using the Wheel Support structure, I can only vouch for it working correctly with PLA that has been sliced using CURA with specific settings: - Shell thickness: 1.5mm - Top/Bottom thickness: 1.5mm - Infill density: 21%. It is crucial to use these exact settings in order for the internal support structures within the wheel Support structure to function properly. In addition, please make sure to use the Wheel Support stem to reinforce the top of the wheel Support. The fender is entirely optional and only requires three M3 10mm hex socket bolts.
