Custom Chainguard, customize in FreeCad!
thingiverse
My trusty vintage Bakfiets bicycle boasts a customized Shimano crank that's been modified to meet our specific needs. Originally, it was equipped with a triple chainset, but for a bike weighing in at 40kg, we require only tiny gears. This is why I decided to make the switch. The problem we faced was that the chain would frequently spring off its tracks. However, all of this has changed since I installed this fantastic chainguard! You might not need an exact replica of this design, but I believe it could serve as a great inspiration for creating your own or modifying my concept to suit your needs. To help you get started, I've attached the FreeCad source files. Here are some key specs: the bolt circle diameter is 74mm and it's secured with 4mm screws.
