Custom blocks for toy stacking train
thingiverse
We purchased a secondhand stacking toy train for our son from a garage sale, but unfortunately, some pieces were missing. To fix this, I decided to replace them using Makerbot parts and customize them further. The new additions included a block featuring an octopus, another with his initials and Chinese name, one with dimples and side handles, and a cylindrical-shaped block that could function as a container for small items or even nuclear waste, though that's just my imagination running wild. When printing these custom parts, I discovered that a layer spacing of .25mm on the Thing-O-Matic worked best, especially for handling overhangs well, while standard cubes printed smoothly using the default profile on a cupcake maker.
