Custom 1 inch Test Cube
thingiverse
I designed a straightforward little 1 inch test cube to evaluate different filaments and determine how my printer skews dimensions across various axes. This design includes holes of varying sizes on each plane, enabling me to accurately assess my printer's precision in three-dimensional printing. Notably, my printer demonstrates exceptional accuracy in the z-axis, boasting a deviation rate of plus or minus 0.005 inches or better. Conversely, it exhibits a slight shrinkage phenomenon when printing holes along the x-plane. This distinction highlights the importance of considering these nuances during the 3D printing process. To further examine this behavior, I employ specific print settings for my tests: Print Settings Rafts: Any configuration is suitable for testing purposes. Supports: The use of supports is entirely optional and does not significantly impact the results.
