The original chainmail design was flat and boxy, but I desired to create a curvier version inspired by Celtic knots' linking technique. My current prototype is based on a hexagonal structure, where lower sides are connected with upward arches to form a loop, ensuring stability. However, this also reduces flexibility. I plan to upload the design to Customizer for rendering larger sheets than my OpenSCAD software allows. The printed piece was made using silver PLA at 215 degrees with a 0.1mm layer height and a heated glass build platform set at 70C on a Replicator 1.
