A shape-shifting artistic cube: Geometrik box design comes alive. Starting as a humble sketch on paper, just doodling curves on the faces of a standard cube and experimenting with how they could flow together seamlessly. Three ways emerged to combine them, splitting the cube into two identical halves, which led to modeling them in 3D. Curve Type 1 brings a quarter circle to each face. Curve Type 2 showcases a half circle on four out of six faces – that's a bold statement! Curve Type 3 features a three-quarter circle on every single face - this design pushes boundaries but also proves less practical for printing due to wall thinness in certain areas. Every style requires two identical components to create a complete cube, and the options extend to both hollow and solid designs. STL files available feature 50mm cubes with 5mm thick walls. For Curve Type 3, partial ellipse curves now replace circle shapes to prevent print disruptions. The OpenSCAD editor may experience preview problems for this style due to curve complexity. However, rendering is seamless within the program itself. The update and customization of Scad have addressed the previous zero-thickness wall issues. Your comments are welcomed, especially if you decide to bring this cube design to life in your own creations!
